12/3/13 NASHVILLE, TN–CERRITO, the bilingual artist who has achieved success Internationally with his past four single releases, is celebrating the #1 single “Hot Pepper Doll,” on the New Music Weekly chart.  “Hot Pepper Doll,” written in 1976 by legendary writer Cy Coben, features fun and notable Mexican-American words as enchiladas, tostadas, frijoles, tamales, and guacamole, all set perfect for Cerrito’s south of the border sound.

“This Latin bopper comes complete with staccato horn bursts as it praises the spicy culinary skills of his betrothed.  They’ll be wed if his stomach can take the heat. Very cute,” says music critic Robert K. Oermann.

Hot Pepper Doll, has become an International line-dance sensation, having been choreographed by dancers in Japan, Italy, France, Australia, Poland, Mexico, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, South Africa, Denmark, China, and the United States. During the 2013 CMA Music Festival in Nashville, the bilingual country star introduced “Hot Pepper Dolls” from Switzerland who performed the line-dance and wowed the crowd during Cerrito’s live performance.

“The Hispanic market is so untapped,” says Cerrito.  “When I was performing in Hawaii for nightly SOLD OUT shows at Charo’s club, I would hear how Freddy Fender was catering to that audience.  Then came Rick Trevino and Emilio.  Not since then, has anyone stayed focused on making music to target the Country and Hispanic markets.”

In addition, Cerrito has recorded bilingual songs with country legends Lynn Anderson, Janie Fricke, Jett Williams, Lane Brody, Elizabeth Cook, among other artists.  Cerrito is currently in the studio working on a new project set for release in 2014.
